FAQ

Do you take commissions?
Yes, I do, but I don’t take requests or trades. I’m currently working on two Etsy commission listings for cat commissions.

What drawing program do you use?
I currently use Clip Studio Paint (formerly known as Manga Studio). I’ve used Adobe Photoshop and GIMP when I first started out drawing digitally. The reason I use CSP is that Photoshop is (I found) very complicated, and I got on with CSP more than Photoshop, and it’s expensive.
CSP is a one-time payment, and it’s yours. I have two copies, one for my desktop pc and laptop. I got my first copy in 2012.

What drawing tablet do you use?
I started with an old Wacom Bamboo and then invested in a Wacom Cintiq 13HD.
I have since had neck and shoulder pain with looking down so much, and with my day job, I was able to get a Wacom Pro 24 to help with working on a wider surface.

If you’re interested in starting digital art then try a Wacom Intuos or a desktop graphics tablet but I have never used those brands but they’re more brands like Huion with cheaper tablets or the onscreen ones like the Wacom One.
If you have the money for a more expensive one, I would hold back till you know that you want to use a graphics tablet, give a few years before getting the expensive ones. Try it out and let your work grow.

Where did you learn to draw?
Self-taught, mostly. I did study art, photography and media at school and illustration in higher education.

When did you start drawing?
As soon as I could hold a pencil, I’ve always drawn. I’ve always been told by my family and friends that I’m very creative. I started taking drawing seriously when I left school, which was back in 2013 and wanted to develop my style.

What inspires your work?
It helps to have an open mind and imagination, but if you want a solid answer, music, emotions, nature, sunrise/sunset, femininity, manga/anime, books, people, places.
I mostly draw from how I’m feeling, so my main thing would be mine and others’ emotions.
